Buenos Aires, December 9 (NA) – Marcela "La Tigresa" Acuña had a historic night at the Martin Fierro Awards for Cinema, being nominated for "Revelation" for her participation in "The Woman in the Row." In an exclusive interview with the Argentine News Agency, the boxer, a reference in Argentine sports, spoke about her acting debut, how she faced the challenge, and the surprises that cinema brought her. La Tigresa recalled how the process of joining the film directed by Benjamin Ávila was: "It was very crazy at first. Just being here is already a huge achievement for me." Acuña confessed that acting came into her life to stay: "I would love to do some fiction again. First, I had to see what the role would be when they called me." When asked if it was her first time acting, she remembered her first experience on screen: "One of the nice things that happened to me several years ago was participating with Natalia Oreiro in 'Sos mi vida.' Later, they took me on a small test." She also highlighted the key role of the director in her training in front of the camera: "Benjamin Ávila was the one who had a lot of patience, not only to give me an express course in acting, but also to give me the security I needed to take on this new project." When asked about her expectations for the night, Acuña detailed: "It's very difficult here, but faith is the last thing that is lost. I also have new proposals for 2026."
